Merry Day-After!!!!

The "bomb squad" had to be called into our house for the day after cleanup detail! Santa was very good to Grace, Cooper and Grady. Luckily, Grady did not realize what Christmas was all about. He decided that sleep was a bit more important. Henry was a huge hit for Cooper and Grace had to have several tea parties in her new Rose Petal Cottage. I believe Grace is the only 4 year old girl who had to have a workshop addition for her Cottage. A big thanks goes out to Papa and Josh for putting together the toys!!!

Cooper got some brand new Thomas underwear in his stocking and now we are starting the "training" process. Time to start investing in cheerios for better "aim."

Our Superstars!!!!

This was our first attempt for the Christmas picture! Grady decided that he
was a tad bit hungry!!!

And a way we go! I give all three a huge amount of credit for being so photogenic, this was our third picture of the weekend!

Our new living room is a perfect location for a Christmas tree!

Happy Holiday!

Let's Hear it for Cereal!!!

My how time flies. Grady started eating cereal today. He managed to keep most of his bites in his mouth. He seems to have enjoyed it. We hope all of our friends are having an enjoyable holiday season. Grace and Cooper are very excited for the visit from Santa. Grady could care less. Happy Holiday!!!

Who's got it tougher!

Grady has decided that he likes to sleep with his hands out of his sleep sack and above his head.
Poor kid gets too cold at night to sleep the way he likes.
He has also decided that now is a perfect time to eat every two hours and not sleep through the night. Bottles are definitely out of his vocabulary!

Grace enjoys "chatting" with her youngest brother.

Not so scary!!!

Yes, we have survived Halloween! Grace and Cooper enjoyed trick or treating, Grady was as excited as his father. Cooper could finally hold his big Thomas container. We enjoyed seeing Ninja Maddie!

The Dynamic Duo!!!

Jack came by for a visit the other morning. He and Cooper managed to have a great time. They needed to take a short break and entertain Maureen. Grace and Gaga were enjoying the mud at Erie Canal Village!

The little king!!!

Grady has finally begun to feel left out. Luckily he is getting big enough to sit like the little king that he is. Cooper decided that he needed to try out the chair for his buddy.

Maddie turns 4!!!

We spent a great day at Fort Rickey Game Farm and helped Maddie celebrate her fourth birthday. Cooper loved "pulling" Papa from place to place. Grace was bummed that the North American River Otters had to go inside to "rest". Grace is still tired from having such a busy weekend. Happy Birthday, Maddie!!!

Maddie got all of her candles blown out!

Grace is getting better at not "helping" to open other kids presents!!

How could one so cute manage to get cheese puff "dust" around his eyes?...

...Maddie was doing her best rendition of "I Spy"!!!

Grace and Emily head to the fire station, take 2!

Daddy took this past Wednesday off and walked with Grace's class to the fire station. We head a great time. Grace kept asking to see the Cookie Monster, unfortunately we only saw Bert, Ernie and Elmo. Fireman Reilly did a great job. We got to see them get "dressed" and slide down the fire poll. Grace now says she wants to be a fireman when she grows up.

Daddy also got a chance to take Cooper to his "school". I cannot imagine spending 90 minutes with seven two year olds, several whom spend the entire time crying. Way to go Mrs. Alguire and Mrs. Barker. Cooper did not even care that I left!!!

The Critz Adventure

We took the kids to Critz Farms today. It was a perfect day. It is hard to believe that it was October 7 and 75 degrees. Cooper was able to find a train to play on and Grace made some new friends, who pushed her into the mud. Grady managed to catch a few extra minuteds of sleep. We will definitely make a return trip next year.

Grady is creeping up!!!

Grace is always asking to hold Grady! We have not asked her to babysit yet, she would probably be able to to a great job. Grady seems like he is entering another growth spurt. According to all the doctor charts, he is in the 5oth percentile for height and weight. He seems to be much bigger than Grace and Cooper and the same age. Probably just senility on my part.

Grady is very content most of the time. He gets a bit cranking when is belly starts to growl, yet don't we all! His looks are a great mix of Grace and Cooper. He is definitely coming into his own.

Chocolate Pudding!!!

Grace and Cooper and an eating contests to see who could have a more filthy face. Cooper was soooo happy that he whooped his big sister!!!

Cooper is off and running!!!

Cooper has joined a play group that meets once a week. He was so excited to go to his own "school". He finally has his own Thomas backpack.
Grace was able to have her own time with mommy.
And, as usual, Grady had to tag along for all activities.
Needless to say, mom and dad are both very proud!!!

Let There Be Craziness!!!

We hope all of our friends and family are enjoying their autumn season as much as we are!

Last Saturday, we had a little bit of work done on the outside of our house. The pics tell the whole story. Our yard is now six trees lighter. Rick Turk was here bright and early!!!

They went to great heights, to do a great job!

I was hoping that they could let the tree slip and we could "fix" the sag in our garage!

Phil Cresswell did his very best to duplicate Spiderman!!!

September "Kicks" In

Wow! It is hard to believe that the school year is here. August went by soooo very quickly. We hope that Brayden Race enjoyed his first birthday. We spent most of our time cooling off on the lake. Thanks for letting us use "your" lake, Baca!!! Grace and Cooper did enjoy their day at the Enchanted Forest, the temps were in the upper 60's, if you can believe it. Grady is going to be tall and skinny, he is eating like a champ.
Grace won a free month of karate lessons, which started last night. She enjoyed the jumping jacks and the kicks. I hope she does not go off and wail on Cooper or Grady.

She had a great time!!!

Cooper has "grown" to love popsicles!!!

Never too Hot!!!

All winter long, the fuzzy slippers did not leav e their bedrooms. Grace caught sight of Dora the other night and she has been wearing them ever since. Today was 95degrees and very sticky. And of course, Cooper had to follow suit.
Grady was mellowing in his carrier. He is resting the day when he has to live up to his older brother and sister.

Big Sis!!

This is the most relaxed Grace has been while holding Grady! The smile tells it all!
All the practice with a plastic doll has made it easier for Grace to hold the real thing.
She does keep Maureen and I on our toes, she lets us know each time Grady is crying or fussing.
She is a big help!

Sleep is always good!!!

As much as Grace and Cooper do their very best to wake Grady up, the kids loves to sleep. Life is great at the Engelbert House. We are all settling into our roles.

Three's a Crowd????

We would have to say that Grady seems content with his new surroundings. He handled a house full with no problems. Nana and Papa came over for a visit last night. Maddie was brought along to help entertain the troops. She and Grace did a number on Grace's room. Cooper has become quite enamored with Josh. As the saying goes "many hands make light work".

Luckily we have a big enough chair to hold all three of them. Grace thinks that she needs to hold "her" baby all the time. We keep reminding her that Grady is not going anywhere and she will have lots of chances to hold him.
We are reminding Cooper that he needs to be much quieter, Grady does seem to sleep through just about anything!

Home from the hospital!

Maureen and Grady came home today and they are resting comfortably...
Cooper did manage to just about tackle Maureen, ouch!!!
Grace is trying to help anyway she can, lots and lots of questions!

The Big Day!!!

Grace and Cooper got their "little" brother this morning at 8:33AM. Grady David Engelbert weighs 6LBS 13 oz and is 20 inches long!!! Maureen is doing fantastic!!!

Life on the Lake!

Grace and Cooper could think of no better way then to spend Father's Day with their, Baca on "his" lake!
Unfortunately, Papa was stuck in Texas, so we could not get to see him.
The water temperature has finally gotten warm enough so Dad can tolerate the many swims by Grace. She is our resident fish!
Cooper did manage to enter the lake, he is not as daring as his sister.
If only water did not have to splash on his face!
Grady, the one we are all anxiously awaiting, should be here by next Wednesday, July 11.
Maureen is going to do her best to convince Doctor Lucas to move things up to tomorrow.
We hope all of our friends are having a super summer!

Sing, Grace, Sing!

Today was grace's last day of nursery school. They put on a short performance of their spring songs. She did an outstanding job! She certainly does not suffer from "stage fright."

It's Cousin Jack!

Our nephew, Jack, came over for a cookout and to cool off in the pool!

Cooper was doing his best rendition of "monsters from the deep,"
the pirate ship did not even have a chance!!!
